Late entry fee waived for Mizzou and Kansas masters

A USATF official in the Missouri Valley Association just sent me info on a June 17-18 youth meet that also will accommodate masters “born before 1975.” He apologizes for the late notice but says he’ll waive LATE entry fees for masters who take part. Such a deal! (This is a correction to earlier post saying all fees would be waived.) The entry fee is only $10.

The Missouri Valley is made up of the western half of Missouri and all of Kansas. I was wondering if you could put information on your website about the USATF Missouri Valley Association Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships??
At this association championship, we also include Open and Masters athletes since we do not have separate meets for those age divisions. I have attached information about the meet, a meet schedule, and an entry form for the meet. More information about the meet can be found at www.usatf.org/assoc/mv.
If you could get this information on your website in the next day or so, I will work with any masters athlete who contacts me at coachwebb33@yahoo.com or at 620-794-3146. In other words, if a masters athlete contacts me and says that they found out about our meet through your website, I will make certain that the late entry fee is waived.
If it is too late to get this on your website, I understand. Just let me know. We would love to let you know about other masters events our association in a more timely fashion in the future.

I wonder how many USATF Associations do not hold separate meets/championships for open or masters.
I am competing in the USATF-Hawaii Jr. Olympics meets as a master for the 33rd year. It is fun to participate and help the kids, but separate meets for open and separate meets for masters really need to be cultivated by USATF Associations and USATF headquarters.

We just got done with the Ozark Association meet this past weekend. They do a fine job with it, but it covers the Ozark Open Championships, the Ozark Masters Championships, The North Region Open Championships and the Mid-America Masters Championships. It would be nice to break those up so we could have 2 meets.
I understand the difficulty in getting volunteers, facilities, etc. but it would be nice to have 2 meets.
