I was a classmate of George Cohen, 1952 -1958, also a member of the track team. George was my idol,at one meet my track shoes were worn out and George let me wear his red shoes(smile)for my event…awesome. I felt like I was flying in his shoes a legend for ever. As I continue to run for exercise on a quarter mile high school track field in Elk Grove California, I always think of George, Hollis, Rudolf Taylor and other Edison High team mates who have passed away
