Weight was down a pound this morning and I felt it on the Bike. Rode a total 12.8 miles, but it was windy and I had no energy in the 2nd half of the ride. Still, I got good cardio and it made for a good workout to push through fatigue. Tomorrow will be a rest day except for some morning golf.

Had a Group Ride this morning for 12.8 miles. The 1st half of the ride, I had no zip in the legs. During the 2nd half, I felt much better. Maybe it was the 8am time frame ,as I usually like to ride in the afternoon or evening. Now that school has started, I will have to adjust my workouts to ride in the mornings and lift in the evenings. Wanted to lift tonight, but after the heat of the afternoon practice, I'm just resting. Will get a lift in tomorrow.

Dan,
You are right about the heat today. It is very hot and humid here in Northwest FL.
I went to do 200 repeats and had to quit after 6 slow ones. I was beat.
Keep up to good work.

Tony

Tony,

It was really hot today at practice. Gave the kids a lot of water breaks....took a couple for myself also. Felt better tonight as I didn't ride in the morning. Will try for a ride tomorrow before it gets hot as we are going north for a wedding...temps not to get above 75....may have to take a winter coat....lol.

Went to the gym tonight and did a Full Body Lift.

Lat Pulls 30x90, 20x100, 15x110, 5x120
Bench Press 30x135, 20x150, 15x165, 5x180
Leg Press 30x225, 20x265, 15x305, 5x335
DB RDLs 10x25s, 2x10x30s

Overall, a good lift. Very tired and had to push the last sets in each exercise. Hopefully, I can get an early morning ride in before my flight up North for a wedding. Temps not going above 75.......cold for us Florida people....lol.

The last week has been rest as I had a wedding and didn't get to workout at all. Seeing family and stuff. Tonight I went to the gym and did the following:

Lat Pulls 15x90, 12x105, 10x120, 8x135
Bench Press 15x135, 12x150, 10x165, 8x189
Core Abs

Good to get the blood flowing. Felt better after the workout. Gained a few pounds during my visit up North. Today I went back to protein and veggies. Hope that will help with getting back to normal again with the weight.

Did 12.7 miles on the Bike tonight. Felt really strong and had two PRs while riding. A week's rest seemed to really energize my body. Haven't felt this good and this strong in a while. Today was a good day of training. Knees felt good and the weight has come back to my average for the last couple of weeks.

Rode the Bike tonight for a strong , steady ride of 7.8 miles. Tempo for me was very good and I felt really strong. Will try to add more rides and get my Lifting back in order. Have been very lax the last few weeks and my weight shows it. Also, my eating habits have regressed a bit....need to clean that up too. September is the start of our football season and I want to try and motivate my self to get ready for training at a steady rate and see where that gets me.

Body was a bit stiff from last night's ride. Felt good to push it. Tonight I went to the gym and did the following:

Leg Press 4x25x225 Found this to be a bit hard as I only rested 45 seconds between sets.
Single Leg Curls 4x8x35
Core Abs

This was a quick workout as I'm riding tomorrow morning with a group of guys and gals for at least 12-15 miles. See how I feel. Need to get the weight back in order. Weight was 223 this AM.

Weight was down to 221 this morning. Happy about that. Went for a Group Ride this AM for 14.4 miles. Had a nice helping wind for the 1st half and hit several PRs along the way. Felt pretty strong going back into the wind for the 2nd half. Was able to get through the rest of the day without a feeling of fatigue. Overall, a good day of training. Knees have been feeling good. I'm using Copper Wear sleeves and I think they are really helping with fatigue and compression on my knees. Hope it continues. Tomorrow will be a Lifting day and maybe a short Bike ride.

Went to the gym and did the following:

Incline DB Presses 3x20x35, 40, 45s
Rev Grip Pull Downs 3x20x90
Core Abs

After dinner, I rode the Bike for a steady 13 miles. Felt good......like I could have done more....but didn't. Have been happy with the weight as I dipped below 219 this AM. Can I keep it there and continue downward. As long as a workout, I can control the weight. If I rest a couple of days.....it goes back up. Have been steady with workouts this week....so....I have been going down.

Friday was Golf, Saturday was rest, Sunday was Golf.

Today, I went for a Group Ride of 14.2 miles. Strong and steady ride. Felt very good.

Tonight, I went to the gym and did the following:
Single Leg Press 4x15x105
DB RDLs 4x8x35s
Single Leg Press 4x10x105

Wanted to get some Leg work done without a lot of stress on the knees, so I kept the weight light. Worked up a nice little sweat in a short time period. Weight was down to 218 on Friday and Saturday, but I felt that I was a bit dehydrated. I was stiff and sore and tired. Took a couple of extra rest days and drank a lot of water. Weight is back up to 220 and I felt better this AM for the ride. I think I have to be careful of losing the weight too fast and effecting my performance.

Wanted to get an Upper Body workout in tonight. Got half way through the WO and my mind get fried. Tougher workout than I thought.

Bench Press 4x25x135 on the 2 minute mark. Last two sets were very hard. Took 3 sets to finish the last set of 25.....very, very hard.
Lat Pulls 2x25x90, 10x90 and my mind was just shot. Couldn't force my self to go on. Very hard workout.

Should have broken Chest and Back up and done separately. Very taxing and exhausting. Live and learn.

It's been mostly rest the last few days except for golf 3 times. Back feels OK, weight is creeping up as I've been eating whatever I want. That has to stop. Today was golf and then I went to the gym and did the following:

Bench Press 5x20 x135. Vey difficult to finish the last set...but I did it.
Machine Chest Flys 5x12x75. Got the Chest done nicely in a short time.

Tomorrow is a group ride and I will try to get 12-14 miles done. Will also try to get the diet squared away.
