Some good marks out already by Riewerts and Patridge. Wondering if the other long-time big throwers are coming out soon?
Fruguglietti, Fahey, Muller, John, and others. Weather is nice-come out and throw far!

I should be seeing Tom (Fahey) and Dan (John) in a couple of weeks.

Hope Tom isn't hurt, cuz usually he is throwing the 2k at this time of the year.

It's fun to watch Patridge and Riewert go head to head. We all typically go to the same meets.

Patridge turns 55 in a few months, so that will change the complection of that age group quite a bit. Here's something scary: Riewert picked up the discus only 2 years ago.

There's nothing that puts you in your place like warming up for the Shot Put with a guy doing standing throws from the front, and they're all going past 40 ft...and he's using an 18 pound ball! (Patridge)

Or warming up for the Discus and a guy is doing standing throws from the front with a 2kg discus and they're going farther than your full throw PR with a 1.5kg. (Patridge again)

I tore a muscle in my back in February training with Dick Hodgkiss. I have been training hard and hope to compete at Stanford in August. I am passing on Finland and will only compete in Oshkosh if I can give the boys some competition. As my boss Arnold Schwarzenegger said, "I'll be back!"

Missed this.

Heal up Tom.

I just spent the week at John Powell's camp. John told me to back off when I had to.

Hope to see you at Stanford. Brother Dan is also entered.
