I've been competing in this running game for 62 years. What I'm about to write ISN'T a complaint. It's an observation. At a recent 2-day Sr. Olympics T&F meet, I saw max two guys who were wearing actual running shorts. These are shorts that are short and have an overlapping split on the sides so that there is no binding. For years, I've seen guys competing in tee shirts and the shorts are gym trunks or the basketball pants that are almost to the knees. It reminds me of the swim suits from the early 1900s or something out of Chariots of Fire. Of course, a runner can wear overalls if he wants. It's a free country.
