What is the age cut off date in a year? Example, if I will be 60 by the end of this year 2011 do I compete in 55 to 59 or 60 to 64? The journey begins this weekend at Slippery Rock. First time I will be in the starting blocks since 1971. Can't Wait.

At your birthday you enter the new age group. At international championships mostly the age at day 1 counts, so it sometimes happens that someone counts as x during the championship, has birthday at day 2 and sets a record for class x+5 at day 4.

Good luck to you Tankertom. Looks like only a 40 year layoff. You should be well rested. What events this weekend?

Thanks! I will be running the 55 and 200 meters, I've been training since last April. I got my grandson involved in track and found out about the masters. My practice times have been pretty good. I played softball until I was 50 so the legs are still in pretty good shape. Can't wait. Tom T.
