Just want to say THANK YOU to the USATF New England group who put on a great meet....It was a fun time and I enjoyed competing at the Reggie Lewis Center.

It was nice to meet people from all over who came to Boston for this event.

While I'm sure there were things that may not have gone as well as some people would have prefered (There is always something), I am grateful for what they did and applaud them for their efforts!

Way to go!!!

Thanks for the compliment.

If anyone lost a pair of glasses that fold up at the nose-piece into a case about 2" x 3", contact me directly

To correct something from Peter Taylor's blog story, the delay in opening on Saturday was due to unannounced subway work that forced our staff opener to take 2 busses and transfer at another subway stops instead of a straight shot in from north of the city. It wasn't oversleeping, and he shouldn't be blamed for such reason. By 8:00 a.m. no arrivals seemed to know that we had opened a few minutes late, so the meet recovered.
Bidders for the 2009 meet should put that on their notepad.

And let me add thanks to the officials. I'm sure there were some sketchy moments with nervous athletes and long days all around - but every official I came in contact with was polite, efficient and helpful. In our 50+ long jump group we were reluctant to use the "half-filled pit" that had been set aside for us. The officials let us move to the other pit, which meant an hour wait for the younger group to be finished. I really appreciated their staying later.

Thanks to all invovled. Nicely done.

I agree it was a well run meet. Everything but the opening of the doors on Saturday went well. Go job to everyone that was involved! :D

SUPERB! USATF New England. I thought the vault events were well managed. Officials made sure heights were correct and that things moved along. Job well done! Later..Mike
