answer the official gave me a while ago, "we don't have an extension cord long enough to reach the other side"....come on guys, take my entry fee from the 40M 200 (DQ for one step on the line) and buy a friggin extension cord...these folks spent a lot of money to travel to this venue and have to run against a harsh headwind?...thanks for the reward for hard work and hard earned money spent...

I ran into it, and it was ugly, especially in the hurdles (3.6 mps is pretty tough). Everytime I was airborne over a hurdle I felt like it was lifting me even higher. I had hopes for a sub 13 but I guess that will wait until next year.

A tail wind kills the flight of the discus. We have thrown in tail winds in the last two championships. However, Hawaii made up for it with the best conditions I have ever seen. It looks like we will have a near perfect wind in Italy.

Everyone has to compete in the same conditions. However, few people take the wind into consideration when judging performances. All thing considered, I would prefer a big throw in a good wind. I'm sure sprinters feel the same way.
