Hi,

The other day I was trying to make train reservations from Bologna to Riccione and back from the website www.trenitalia.it and discovered that reservations for only the IC and IC-Plus class of trains could be made from the web. This is a little disconcerting, because in order to make my flight back from Bologna I will need to leave very early on the morning of the 15th, and there were no IC or IC-plus trains that left early enough. There were R ( I guess it stands for regional) trains that left early enough, but I could not get a reservation from the web. Can I assume that those trains (R) don't require reservations? The web site was a little vague on this issue. Anyway if someone has come across this issue before and has any information it will save me an international phone call.

I found a site called Rail Euro, which was in english and looked to have some good rates for tickets. I booked my train from Bologna to Riccione and then later to ROme thru this site.....

Tickets are supposed to arrive at my house tomorrow.

The Italian site was a bit confusing for me....

Thank you so much for the link. This website was much easier to use. It took me less than 10 mintues to purchase my tickets.

I will be arriving in Bologna on Thursday September 5th and will be taking the 2:29 train.
I remember you said that you were also arriving that day, so maybe I will see you there.
