Tom:

For all you jolly, fish and chip eating Limey's who develop character on the fields of Eaton, we bloody ungrateful Colonists have had a lot of Drug Cheats. This was a play on the word "Adidas", instead it was "Adidnt", with the same font and the little upside-down adidas emblem as the apostrophe. Definitely lost something in translation.

Cheerio,

I guessed it might have been, but thought you might have hit "submit" before you'd finished.

We've gotta do something about these stereotypes of the Brits. Number 1 national dish is chicken korma now, and no one takes things like Eton seriously!

"... I was brought into this world without my consent and leaving it against my will..." Not really masters track, but a good saying anyway, Milt Girouard

Here one I have used. When asked about trying to acheive a specific time or mark. I would reply "Those days are long gone...."

I like that last one.

Very similar to a shirt we should have made for a shot-putter friend a few years ago, who was asked about the secret of his continuing success, at age 70 or so. His answer was "It's not who you beat, but who you out-live that counts now".

The shirt would have said "Outlive the B**tards!"

How about:

In youth, the absence of pleasure is pain, in old age the absence of pain is pleasure. Henry Addington

I just thought of this while I was running: I may be over the hill, but I ran up it to get there!

Variation: Masters athletes may be over the hill, but at least they ran up it to get there!

How about this for Masters.com t shirts or sweat shirts:

Welcome the far side of 50, where all injuries are chronic injuries.

Cheers,

I belong to Mass Velocity Track Club (mostly sprinters) and our slogan is "Not Far, Just Fast".

The daughter of a Certain Member suggested his t-shirt say "Not Far, Not Fast". That made me laugh.

A twist on what some others have posted -

If you can't outkick 'em, outlive 'em.
