It seems that the USATF Southern Association is finally making an effort to support masters track. They are including masters in their youth meets and are now scheduling the association and SW regional meets in June.

10 May Future Invitational (Y) Zachary HS/Zachary, LA

24 May Feliciana Classic (Y) Jackson HS/Jackson, LA

31 May USATF Southern Association Championship * (Y) Port Allen, HS/Port Allen, LA

14 June USATF Master’s and Open District Championship * Zachary HS/Zachary, LA

28 June USATF Southwest Regional Championship * TBD/Baton Rouge, LA

This is great news for us down here. We need to support this so we can continue to have competitions and promote the sport.

This is a great idea. I hope the other associations around the country do the same.

Finally someone understands. It is just as easy to include us in those meets. We need it and I think the kids can learn from us.
