I took some fairly detailed photos of the facilities of Spokane Falls Community College Track, site of Nationals this year. It was pouring down rain and relatively cold when these pictures were taken a couple days ago (June 7, 2008):

Note I have a bias towards the field events, particularly the throws, so there's more field photos than track. But let me know if you have any particular views you'd like to see and I'll see if I can snap them next time I'm over there.

The track surface is the standard rubber "pebble" texture. No fancy Mondo or anything.

According to my mother-in-law, lifetime Spokane native, it's been relatively cool in August the last few years, as in "only" in the 90s, instead of the 100s. July has had the 100s lately. Hopefully that will hold true this year. Regardless it's going to be hot, so prepare accordingly if you can!

Yeah, thanks a ton for posting those. And, for including pictures of the water jump. For a field event guy to post those shots of the water jump is awesome! Thanks... 8)
