Goodbye, egroups. Welcome, masterstrack.com forums.

This is the new way of sharing thoughts online -- no muss, no fuss, no email. Just online message boards that you can access 24/7. You can modify your own postings -- fix typos, add info, etc. You can add avatars -- little images to go with your notes. You can search old posts easily.

Unlike the listserves of the 1990s -- Yahoo Groups and the T-and-F Mailing List, for example -- you don't send email or get email. You just register here, log-in and type away. You messages are online instantly.

You can read anything on these boards without registering. But to post, you must register. As Administrator and Chief Moderator, I'll be monitoring the boards to keep them civil and crud-free. Other moderators will have similar powers.

In 10 years online, the Masters Track & Field Home Page has tried to bring attention and respect to our niche sport. This is the latest attempt to foster a sense of community. Make it your own. Welcome home.

Some people have a streak of consecutive days of running, Ken Stone has a streak of consecutively "posting" on the internet!

Ken, thanks for the Blog, this message forum, and your efforts to support and promote masters track and field. Your offering of hospitality at the Charlotte nationals is also appreciated and not forgotten.

Ken, great job in choosing a forum interface with an easy to use layout with all the bells and whistles. I think this forum can take off. Thanks also to the moderators who have volunteered to help the forum grow and mature.

This is good. Will there be (or is there) an RSS feed as there was on Yahoo Groups?
