Wow, just saw the video of Liu Xiang having to pull out of his heat in the 110m HH. One of the best in the world (and one who isn't nearly a master or even submaster) reduced to a mere mortal by injury as can happen to all of us.

Makes me appreciate the opportunity to even compete in Spokane much less finish the race uninjured. Everything else was just icing.

Definitely puts things in perspective.
