When do you think they will announce the new location for the 2009 Outdoor National Championships? Was it to be decided on the conference call last night or was that just a preliminary discussion with more meetings and discussions to come?

It would have been nice for the Nationals to be in Florida since I live so close to the site. I am in Sarasota. But after competing their twice this year, there was no way they could hold a national meet at the facility. The track and throwing area are very nice, but with no bleachers, shade and lack of RR facilities, and parking, it would be be a nightmere.

Supposed to be "early this weekend" as you've probably heard by now...

It's because of people that live in Florida and around there that I'm really hoping it ends up in the Midwest at least. Back in Spokane is nice for me, sure, but 3 straight years within driving distance for me is simply not fair to others who live elsewhere.

My other concern is having it on the West Coast 3 straight years could kill the sport as far as getting those from east of the Mississippi.

Glad that it was Oshkosh for the reasons listed above. Clermont was a no go for me but Oshkosh means I'll be there barring injury
