Pretty good. But his foot work needs some work. Should be doing a single toe turn at least. Also his release is flawed, he's too bent over at release and making his weaker deltoids do the work. He should've gone 5m.

I think Judd Logan could throw the kid over 20 meters.

Hey DiscusDoc,
I'm looking to start training for the pentathlon, which requires me to re-learn the Javelin and completely learn the Discus. Do you have any recommendations for a beginner who is looking to learn the event? I'm a 6'2, 205 lb 200m/400m runner who is looking for new challenges.

Thanks in advance for your assistance....T.C.

I suggest picking up one of the excellent DVDs available for those events. John Powell markets an excellent discus video and there are several available for the javelin.

Also, study videos on Youtube. A good technique is to watch the videos, film yourself and compare your technique to the video.
