First they lose the 2009 Masters Nationals Track Champs. Now, just 4 weeks before the Masters 5K XC Champs in St Petersburg, the event has been canceled . USATF says due to the economy ?? I hope USATF no longer takes any Florida bids seriously. |

The loss of the National Outdoors in Clermont was due to multiple issues both with the site and those who control the site. As for the National Masters X-C meet - sad that it fell apart. I was not planning to go but if i were - I would be pretty upset with the very late notice. The economy is tough everywhere but one would think that the group putting on the meet might have figured it out sooner that the sponsorship had dried up. |
