So I just wanted to say Hi and let you know what I'm looking for. So if I"m understanding this right these are open meets? Anyone can go to them? Probably like everyone else it's been a thousand years since I've ran let alone run in competition but I soooooooooooooooooooooo miss it. I turned 50 the other day and the only thing I could think about was running again. I don't even know where to begin. So I could use any help and suggestions that anyone wants to give me. There was just something about running a (well it was 220 when I did it) dash and going around the corner that I just loved doing. So thanks for any help anyone can give. Talk top everyone soon
Dean :D

If you want to run in the USATF sanctioned meets you need to join USATF and be a member.
There are also all comer meets, senior games and state games where you don't need to be a member of USATF.
The USATF membership is $30.00 per year

It really helps if you have a local masters track club you can join.

Here is the link to the usatf masters page

Welcome fd - The keys to master's running are to take things slowly and avoid injury. Learn as you go, read the posts, enter some meets, find some training partners, eat well, lose some weight, etc. Most important, have fun!!

Also you can compete in senior games if you are 50+. Check out the national website nsga.com and look up your state for local events.
