Hi Everyone! I just wanted to get your opinions on this. Is 28 too old to start training for sprinting events for the next Olympics? I recently got into running, about a year ago, and realized that I'm good at sprinting, as opposed to long distance or mid distance. What are your thoughts about someone getting into the game at a later age? I haven't always been the fittest person, so I haven't really worn out my muscles, as opposed to someone who has run track since an early age. I know training for track is a grueling process, but I'm totally on board for it! I just wonder if my body can handle it... |

You are never to old to start sprinting. But for the Olympics a period of four years is too short, besides that you do not have to be talented but extremely talented. A modest goal is to become better every year and you will see where your personal limits are. |

Thank you for your input, Weia. I really appreciate it I will take the training slowly and see how I can naturally progress. |
