Hey all-
I'm seeing mixed information on what exactly constitutes "masters"...I know the USATF masters meet is for those of us over 30...other sites, however, seem to limit masters to 40 and over (or 35 and over in some cases).

Even though I wouldn't consider myself a "master" of anything, being 30 I plan on competing in Spokane next summer at Outdoor Nats but also would like to participate in other Masters meets... but, it appears that may or may not be possible...

Any help clarifying this would be helpful....thanks

Isn't world masters 40 and over; and us Masters 30 and over? Not sure, but think so...

The USATF allows those thirty to run in the National meet as sub masters. When you turn 35 you become a true masters athlete. I think in some marathon type races your considered a master at age 40. I am not sure about the World standard.
