I am looking for a DVD that will show good running form and examples of the different drills for sprinters? Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Tony

Hey BMo,

I tried to google approach and found the following:

1. Speed and Power Drills for Sprints from Everything track and field

2. 16 Speed and Power drills from Lance Bauman, univ of Ark

3. Sprint Drills from Tom Tellez, Sports Nation

4. Becoming a Championship Sprinter by coach lynn, Sports nation

5. Training for Track and Field Sprints Hurdles and relays by Harvey Glance.

I am leaning toward the Harvey Glance DVD. It was produced in 2007 and he was a legend when I was in Jr High and High school.

Does anyone have feedback on any of the DVDs?

Thanks,

Tony

I also found a CD-ROM put out by Aaron Thigpen on sprint training.

Has anyone tried this one?

Tony

I think Bill Collins has one also. Unfortunately, I haven't tried any of those titles lately. They all sound pretty good.

Tony - I'm not familiar with any of them...sorry. I did rent a Carl Lewis VHS from my local library and learned a few things. I'm glad I didn't buy it though. Let me know what you end up getting and what you think of it!

I haven't seen the DVD's personally, Tony, but for the record:

Lance Baumann is Tyson Gay's coach (just won the World Championships in the 100m this week)

Tom Tellez was Carl Lewis's coach.

It might be interesting to see their drills and suggestions!

Wow, pretty impressive credentials for those guys (Bauman and Tellez). I watched the Tyson win last night on youtube. Man those guys can fly. I also watched Bill Collins. He is awesome as well.

I guess any of the DVDs will help me learn something. I will go back, read up and just pick one.

Thanks,

Tony

Hey Bill,

Thanks for the link. I cheecked it out and they only have the VHS version on sale. I have only DVD players at my house so will not be able to get the items on sale. They do, however, have some good choices of instructional dvds and videos to choose from.

Thanks again,

Tony
