I am a 45 y/o newcomer to Masters Track. I competed in discus on a lark this summer at my local meet and loved it. I am training now to be a little more competitive in 08. How do I get a idea of what meets in 08 to register for ? I am looking forward to entering as many useful meets as is reasonable. The meets in my home state (Arizona) are known-what about other regional or even outside my region meets ? Any guidance would be welcomed.

Congrats and welcome!!!
Hmmm. Just guessing a bit: 1) Google search for track clubs by state. The website might have a list of meets. 2) PM people on this chat site from surrounding states. 3) See what the USATF website has listed. 4) Google search for "all-comers" meets by city or state.

My 2 cents worth. I don't know if that much for next year will be listed yet though. Tom Fahey is likely to be a great resource.

Try these:

* USATF Masters website calendar
* Many universities have meets where you can enter as an individual.
* MastersTrack has a list also

Another very good source is the calendar of upcoming meets in National Masters News.
