Hey Guys,
Does anyone have any ideas on how to build a high jump pit? Or where one could be obtained at minimal cost?
Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

I kept my eye out for years for a used high jump pit... then one day I found one on a government auction website. It had belonged to UVA, and I got it (complicated story). I'll be glad to tell you more about it if you want to email me ... at ejk@ec.rr.com

I now have it in my yard, but no idea how I'm going to make a jumping surface. I'm hoping to try competing again this year at age 50... and be glad to talk high jump if you want to.

Jeanne

Hey Jeanne,
Thanks for the response. I am glad you were able to find a high jump pit. I really don't know where I would put a pit even if I could find one. But I would like to find a way to practice high jumping.

Good luck to you competing. You should be able to find many indoor and outdoor meets for you to get started again.

Tony
