I take it your throws are flat?

It could be a number of things that caused the orbit of the discus to be flat. I would start with making sure the lower body is leading you through the throw and the upper body stays passive until you hit the power position. If you have any videos those could help us come up with more suggestions.

I think Nick White nailed it.

The last thing you want to do is to try to get lift with your arm. The path of the discus is pretty much at right angles to the angle of your spine. If you stand striaght up you'll throw flat. If your lower body leads, then your upper body will have a slightly backward lean, and the angle the discus will take will be on an upward trajectory.

Point your chest up in the direction that you want the discus to take.
