My daughter has taken a year off of running due to a stress reaction in her L5 and SI joint pain. She is a hurdler and on a track scholarship, has been though PT and various treatments. She is running now and is in so much pain. Her times are off and she is very discouraged. She goes to the trainer almost daily for e-stem treatments and doesn't know what to do. She is so frustrated. Does anyone have any treatment out there that can help her?

Injuries like this are very dicey and hard to diagnose on a message board that caters mainly to geezers. (Of course, that makes us all injury experts, since we live with aches and pains daily.)

However, I'd like to point you to the message board at Dyestat.com, which has a much larger audience as well as coaches who might have experience with your daughter's issues.

Check out:

Best of luck -- from one old hurdler to a slightly younger one!
