My goal is to compete in the Throws Pentathlon in Sacramento next year. I am a complete novice at the hammer and weight (and the shot and javelin). Every time I do concentrated work on the turns, I injure the side of my left foot. I suspect that I am not turning enough on my left heel and end up rotating on the side of my foot instead of the ball. I also have large, skinny feet. Does anyone have any suggestions?
