Fellow Athletes..I am having my labrum tear repaired and debris removed with a general clean up of the hip socket on june 30. Has anyone else out there had this done and successfully returned to running, I am especially interested in hurdler feedback. I am 62 and have not been able to run since Budapest and trail leg action initiates a stabbing pain deep in the joint. Dr. says that I have extensive arthritis and that this might not improve much even after the scope but he is hopeful that the junk shown on the MRI is what is causing the pain along with the labrum fix. We tried cortisone injection and it did nothing so I am taking the next step. Any feedback will be appreciated no matter what event you participate in!

Jim, sorry to hear you are in pain. I don't have any experience with this problem, but hope you can get relief. Hang in there!

Surgery date changed to July 7 due to equipment breakdown..yikes, I hope they get it fixed! It makes me a little nervous! Anyone have any feedback on the hip scope surgery and how they recovered?
