T-minus two days: La Mesa Patch ready for Wednesday launch
My baby is ready to fly. For the past eight weeks, I’ve been getting La Mesa Patch set to launch. It’s the online newspaper I mentioned as my new job. If you’d be so kind, would you please go to this info page and sign up for an email alert? The alert will tell you when the site is live. Then you can see what’s been occupying my time since late July. It’s gonna blow you away!

I wonder which firewall software it is or its settings that are preventing Kim from going to the La Mesa Patch site. Might be a tech-glitch that the friendly folks at Patch corporate would be interested in hearing about.
Suggest trying another browser, such as Firefox or Safari. lamesa.patch.com is viewable now (with its placekeeper info page).
Sometimes a browser restart or emptying the “cache” and/or “cookies” can help one get through to an otherwise safe website too.

This is ifunny. First, I know we are blocked from many sites at work, youtube, facebook etc. I tried it today and got this message from our firewall:
