French W40 team smashes 4×100 world record
Masters track isn’t limited to Southern California and coastal Washington state. In late June, a triangular meet involving Britain, host France and Belgium saw a French team of W40s set a world 4×1 record of 48.22, bettering the listed WR of 49.18 by a German team in 2002. And a gallery of photos of the meet has more than 600 images. (Click on the relay-women shot). Congratulations to Caroline Aubert-Cadinot, Nicole Barilly, Marie Nadine Vaolouvin and Violetta LaPierre. The American record for that age group? 50.21. C’mon, Yanks!
