World outdoor rankings for 2011 showing up on mastersathletics.net
It ain’t perfect, but it’s all we have. Martin Gasselsberger of Austria has been adding great seasonal stats to his mastersathletics.net world rankings page. See it here. He’s even reaching down to M30 and W30 submasters. It’s out of date already, of course, since it doesn’t list Clare Look-Jaeger’s world-leading 1.62 high jump of last weekend. But lot of stuff is there. Check out your event, and let me know if anything glaring is missing.

“All we have”? It’s a fantastic resource! I look forward to it every year and, this year, to getting on it.
I’d give Martin a lot more time to get rankings up. Seems like in the shot put, he’s mostly posted results from Championships only and not rankings from the Masterstrack.com location and various other sites he gets his European, etc. results from. My mark is missing. Tony Harlin’s American 50-54 division leading and possibly World leading 17+ meter shot put throw is missing. He’s been real thorough about posting rankings in the past, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If by next Summer your not ranked, I’d then send Martin an e-mail. Thanks again Martin for a great site!!
It is simply great and for this first 2011 version he has not used many meets, especially in the higher age groups. On top of the 2011 rankings he states ‘10.5% completed’, so very much to come!
It will be much work for an individual and in fact WMA should do us this service with a team working on it.
I’ve been watching it since 4.5% complete. I much prefer seeing the work in progress than waiting until it is all done. GREAT resource.

USA National Masters marks seem to be missing -and wish someone was doing this for indoor marks as well. Indoor and Outdoor marks should be recorded separately – imho,
I think Mary is correct. My 1.78 high jump from Berea (M40-44) has not populated the list yet while another jumper’s 1.78 has. But I’m sure it will appear eventually and it’s very cool to have such a compilation of rankings! Thank you Martin for doing this!
There was some great marks from Berea that is not include. Why is that?

It enables us to be in touch with what is going on in our event, our age group, all over the world.
The athletes from less developed countries – which don’t have a known website for publishing the results from their national and regional championships – whose results are world-class and meet the limits 2011, may use the form “Submit results” on the website front page, providing contact details of some official organization – source of information (national veteran athletic federation, etc.).
Martin is not God – if nobody informs him, there is no way he can have access to such unknown (but world-class) results in unknown competitions not mentioned on any website.
I’m guessing that eventually the lists from Seto’s US rankings will be transposed onto the world’s lists as many of those marks should easily rank alongside them. One glaring omission is Pete Magill’s monster 5,000m. effort back in early March. Oh, and then there’s my 1500 mark, and blah, blah, blah…but i know, it’s only 18% complete. I’m will be patient.
He is on 23 % now. I personally have no complains anymore 🙂
Me too – no complaints as well (2011 – long jump, M45, 6.09m) :-).
