A telling query: How do I reach guy in charge of Senior Games?

Janet Carrier yesterday posted a revealing comment on an earlier entry about the National Senior Olympics. Here’s what she said: “I officiated the Senior games, this past June, at Turner Stadium in Humble, Texas. I have been trying to contact Lou Botello and can not seem to make contact with him. I have not been compensated and really need to speak with him. If you know how I can contact him or someone who can rectify the situation I would greatly appreciate it. I am sorry to use this as my communication method but this seems to be the only form of communication that I have found. I only get his voice mail and I have left many messages for him over the past weeks.â€

It wasn’t like we got any response either when we were asking for an event specific timetable at near meet time.

Should have told him he has a refund coming. It would have taken five minutes…

This fascinates me too. When I complained about the conduct of an athletics officer, his athletics body deliberately ignored me for three, then six months at a time. In fact they are still at it. Ken even commented at the time: “You have the patience of Job.”

But it hurts. And unfortunately this athletics officer’s obvious disrespect and impoliteness does not auger well for you. Either he honestly has not received your calls, or he is deliberately ignoring you and hoping you will tire and go away. Failing that, he and his collective will surely set you up for some counter claim or allegations. And you will be the last to be informed. I sincerely hope I am wrong.
