Pete Magill says ‘Drill, baby, drill’ in his latest training video
I’m a sucker for new training ideas. I try ’em out, keep the easy stuff and throw away the hard. Now I have two more to test: the medicine ball and skipping drills. My editor friend Sean Callahan of Masters Athlete Daily noted the medicine (or weight) ball workouts in this article at Running Times. And just a few days ago, Running Times posted a cool video of running drills by uberblogger Pete Magill and three masters distance friends, subheaded “Learn to run like a kid again.â€Â See the video here.  Actually, I’ve been doing skipping, high knees and fast-foot shuffles for years. But I love the humor in the video and how Pete tells why the drills are worth doing. (Watch for the Gatorade shtick at the end. Probably pre-warmed.)
