W55 superstar photographer captures Obama yet again (my wife)

OK, this is totally gratuitous. But I can’t help but hail my wife’s photos of Barack and Michelle Obama (aka POTUS and FLOTUS). She was covering their arrival yesterday at North Island Naval Station near San Diego for the Carrier Classic basketball game on the USS Carl Vinson (the “Mission Accomplished” ship of Bush fame, where the crew threw Osama Bin Laden’s body overboard). Chris Stone (aka world masters sprinter) was shooting for Patch sites in Coronado and elsewhere. She didn’t have a credential to shoot the game itself, but she shot the practice on Thursday. See her photos here. She shot Obama a few months ago, too.

Were the Obama’s there to celebrate that “Hope and Change” were accomplished??

There are some fine photos in there. I particularly enjoyed some of the random face shots. And, being from Iowa, the photos showcasing Harrison Barnes! Thanks for sharing, Ken.

Thanks for the wonderful photos of the president of the United States and the First Lady shot by one of our own Masters athletes.

It makes me proud to know that some of our track and field Masters have other great talents and influences, and can be able to get close to, and photograph the most powerful man in the world.

I enjoyed all of the photos but I must have missed the one of someone trying to kiss mr. Presidents butt.

Nolan Rasheed: World class trumpeter, runner and comedian, who knew! LOL!

    Hey ‘Who’s your daddy??’:

I see we get a couple more dumbass posts on these boards from you, dumbass, who cowardly hides behind a pseudonym whilst posting them.

why don’t you at least reveal your real identity if you’re so freely dispensing your opinions?

If not, then go onanate (probably the only event you’re at all any good at).

    respectfully, Grant Lamothe

One of my favorite sayings came to mind when I read the comments…
    MEAN PEOPLE SUCK.

Who’s Your Daddy is on cusp of IP ban. OK to rip me a new one daily, but hands off my wife!

For those of you who are confused about the last line of my post (#4),
“who’s your daddy” made what I though was an inappropriate comment about the subject of the photos was to kiss Obama’s behind. Ken has removed that and other posts from him.
    Thanks Ken

Back to the photos. As a hobbyist, I give these photos two thumbs way up. For example the one shown here: The Obamas in focus and everything else out of focus really pulls you in, Michelle’s backlit hair adds some beauty, Barak partially obscured, but there it is, that famous smile. It makes you want to see just a little more.. Way to capture the moment!

very nice photos Chris and Ken – thanks for posting them.

Yes John #1,Im sure the Obamas are constantly celebrating the “Hope and Change” they have been bringing us the last three years, unlike the diabolical 8 years prior that you and your fellow Texans reaped upon the world and our economy.

Beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Chris,
Wonderful pictures…. you are truly multi-talented ! Thanks Ken for these highlights of the the Presidents visit to San Diego.

    To J-bub:
I am actually not a fan of either Obama or Bush so don’t assume you know where I stand. Ken has the right to sneak in a political statement on HIS site, which till now was limited to track and field, but if he does, it becomes fair game to point this out. Which is exactly what I did. Looking forward to next November.

Didnt see the post from “who’s your daddy”…. THANK YOU KEN!!!! I really dont care what he said either because this mature community clearly shows me that it didnt belong here and thats all that matters.

By the way, as photography is a little hobby of mine….excellent pics! I hope that next year I will be able to forward some to you of some of the masters meets here in the Charlotte, NC area.
