Ballot for Masters LDRs of Year posted on USATF page by mistake?
In any case, here’s what the ballot also says:
During the Annual Meeting in December, Masters LDR will have only two sessions to conduct all business and receive reports from our various constituencies. We are conducting the selections for the Age Group Masters Athletes of the Year by ballot prior to the meeting as we have done in past years. Each designated Association, or Member Organizational representative to the Masters LDR Committee is receiving this ballot. Please vote for ONE (1) runner in each Age Division by this online ballot before November 21 to ensure your vote is counted. The results will be announced during the first Masters LDR General Session on Wednesday, December 2.
The candidates for each Age Group are listed on the ballot, showing their current age, along with representative performances from the varied distances they ran, followed by the ballot for that age group. Age graded percentages are calculated for the age on the date of the race. Their name may appear in two Age Groups if they moved to an older Age Group during the year. Please scroll down the ballot to vote for each age group.

This was posted in the Masters LDR Document Library for the convenience of the representatives to the Masters Long Distance Running Committee at the USATF Annual Meeting in December. As has been done for a number of years, the Masters Long Distance Running Committee selects LDR Masters Athletes of the Year for each 5 year age group. For a number of years, the selection was done during the first session of the Masters Long Distance Running Committee during its first session of the Annual Meeting (taking most of that session to finalize the voting) When the schedule of the Annual Meeting was changed, eliminating one of the MLDR sessions, it became necessary for representatives to vote prior to the meeting, allowing time during our remaining two sessions to cover the necessary topics.
This ballot does not pertain to Masters Track and Field, only to Masters Long Distance Running.
can see only the list of men – but interesting indeed – since this is usually done only in the committee and 99% of masters do not attend the convention. Like so many things done by USATF – in the dark of the committee room and if one complains the comment always is – well you can come to the convention! Sure – if one has the time and/or the $$$ to spend for expenses.
How do they determine if non-delegates cast votes?
