Eurovets launch new, improved website

The European Veterans Athletic Association says: “EVAA  website has changed. From January 1, 2009, EVAA has a new website: www.evaa.ch. Please be so kind and have a look at this website from this day on. www.evaa.nu ends on January 19, 2009. Good bye, see you at our new website and thanks a lot for your understanding.” I especially like the new  reports section. The best report is by statman and site co-founder Ivar Soderlind of Sweden. Ivar notes: “As I have declared since 1988, when I began to compile the European Veteran Records, and contrary to popular thought, my experience is and also to a certain extent research shows that older athletes compete for reasons that go well beyond fitness and that this group of older athletes also are very interested in performance parameters — results, best performance, records etc. My experience is that the interest even has increased the latest years.”

Here’s how the Koops in Germany reported the new site (with the usual Google translation):

EVAA with new website

With an entirely
aufgefrischten new website has been presented today by the European Athletics
Association Senior EVAA the Internet. Before Christmas, the Swede had Åke
Runnman, Webmaster of the previous page evaa.nu from visitors to the website
adopted. He had the appearance almost nine years cared. Three months ago, he has
“suddenly a letter” given that his work from the year-end no longer needed, said
his farewell not uncritical.

The new site is from the same Swiss Agency
Media sprint from Zofingen in the canton of Aargau, who has been the site of the
World WMA supplies. It runs with a so-called Content System, which allows the
bureau EVAA without any delay the latest news and information to the Internet
can provide. The new site takes all previous evaa.nu information and
supplements, including by a gallery from the past 10 years.

The “Board of
Honor”, ie the honor board, called the Honorable EVAA athletes of the year as
well as the institution of the Torsten Carlius-price, but one could complete
with photos of the honored and good use of a curriculum vitae, as ever, once
again, the photo presentation quantitatively and qualitatively upgraded appears.
