Andy Hecker of Ventura, California, has a background in broadcasting and track — as a masters athlete and USATF official who has worked for the IAAF as a camera guy. So starting a podcast on track and field seems a natural next step. His first dozen episodes are previews of the Rio track meet. He’s done men’s 400, 10,000, discus, vault and long jump and women’s steeple, triple jump, shot and hep. But he also has one titled “Why was Russia banned from the track and field athletics events at the 2016 Olympics in Rio?” See all his offerings. He’ll eventually cover other issues, since the podcast is titled Guide to Life as We Know It. Pretty ambitious, and check out his sponsor (mentioned in each podcast) for discounts.
