Clock is ticking on USATF Masters Weight Penta results
USATF has yet to post results from yesterday’s National Masters Weight Pentathlon Championships. Not a surprise. But still a shame. Unless a massive Internet or computer crash is involved, there’s no excuse for dilly-dallying on such results. The information is of interest to fans, friends, family and potentially local and national media. If it’s not posted ASAP, this will be another nail in the coffin of USATF’s reputation for not giving a rat’s patoottie about masters track. (But God bless the athletes who post individual results for themselves on mastersrankings.com.)

Not to be a spoiler, but HUGE congratulations to Randy Wilson for winning the M50 in the weight pentathlon! Go Big Dog!
Hi Everybody,
It’s great to see so many Masters Track & Field members so interested in the administrative functions of USATF. If any of you want to improve the timeliness of the minutes etc the present secretary and treasurer have notified the MTF Executive Committee they are not running for election in December. If you are interest please email me at garysnyder@att.net.

Please do not be in a rush to judge the USATF or the meet organizer. The meet director did give all the competing athlete’s their scores and results. I do not know why they are not posted yet, but hopefully they will be soon. As a note, the meet director did an awesome job, and provided a great competition. Scott Hannay
This was one of the most organized meets I’ve ever competed in. Good venue, great volunteers, excellent officiating, and timely results after each event for the competitors. Very, very well run meet.
Come on… How long could it take to post results??? Pure laziness is the problem! Ken is dead on about the ongoing lack of problems!
I’ve deleted a comment from “Your mom” because it contained rude language directed at Gary Snyder and was posted without a real email address.
I don’t mind pseudonyms, but if email addresses are bogus, then I’ll pull the plug on your comment.
meet organization by the director, officials, and the site all were excellent.
A+ meet!! Great job Carl and crew. Thanks for paying attention Liz!!
While we’re on the subject, the final pentathlon scores have not been posted for the USATF National Masters. Fortunately, I paid $1 to get a copy at the meet. If nobody else in the country ever knows what happened, at least I do. Emails to the meet director are evidently a waste of time. Should I talk to you instead?…and why will no one tell us about the bus schedule from the meet hotel to the track? I waited 3 weeks for an answer, then gave up and spent $327 to rent a car. …Also, the airline soaked me $100 each way to check my javelin case. I think the time has come for national meet directlrs to have more than just 2 house javelins on hand to share with several others in a single flight. However, just to keep things in perspective, I did have the time of my life at the meet.
I am also a member of USA Weightlifting, and they don’t even have Olympic results posted yet on their web site. And you can never get results from national meets until several days after they are completed. USATF has been a breath of fresh air to me, compared to the disaster they have over at weightlifting.
