Canada’s Ed Whitlock has an unratified M80 indoor mile of 6:44.44, so that’s been broken, too.

Ken, Having been injured & out of running for an entire year, I feel blessed to be back in completion & regaining some of my speed. However, & this pains me deeply but it was not a world record in the 800- that belongs to Agnes Hitchmough of Britain. I would love to exceed the record but I am more than halfway thro’ my age group. Alas. And as for day 2, I did not feel anyone breathing down my neck. It is true that good competition leads to the best times, but like a few other competitors have commented, it is tough to always lead & still set records. In reality, it is Sabra Harvey that causes me to produce the best performances.
