Anthony Whiteman beat kids half his age in winning a British Milers Club
800-meter run in 1:48.05 — lowering his own listed M40 world record of 1:48.22 in 2012. “I am quite shocked with that as when I did 1:48.2 in Indianapolis. The conditions were absolutely perfect and it is a superfast track,”
Whiteman told the BMC. “I would have been happy running 1:49 tonight.” The
BMC tweeted “Amazing run by @Whitemansub4_40, the first ever master to win a BMC GP ‘A’ race!” At the 40th annual Canadian Masters Outdoor Championships in Toronto, the M50 quartet of
Serge Faucher, Andrew Tuovinen, Mike Sherar and
Paul Osland claimed a 4×800 WR of 8:36.39, beating the listed mark of 8:39.01 by an Aussie crew in 2011.

Great 800 meter run Amaree ……..Must be some hard train, great genes and coaching! …. 800 meters is about 400 to long for me …maybe down the road …

Wow, I think that I was 14 before I started running faster 800’s than Amaree. Great job!
