Bam!
Incredible race! I’m wondering what he can do if he sticks with it until age 45 (and beyond obviously).
That was a great race. I was really only watching Lagat and was glad to see that he turned it on at the end.
Thanks for getting the splits up so quickly!
Congratulations seems an understatement Bernard! Perhaps the greatest mile ever run. Truly Stunning Performance!
Wow!
Es ritmo de 3:38.99 el 1500 !
Lagat’s instinctive pacing knowledge was on display. I heard the announcer actually say that Lagat was mysteriously absent from the front (early :57 quarter), or was he just aware of what his body could do. Brilliant Pacing!!
We are proud of you Kip Lagat! All your masters fans are.
NYT headlines Lagat:

Armory story with great photos:

When I was 42 years old, the American record for indoors 800 meters was 158. Lagat would have set an 800M AR in the first half of this mile race and kept on running and broke it again in the second half!!!!
Bernard is one of the greatest Track and Field PEOPLE of all time. I can’t say enough about his work ethic and character. I also think he still has a shot at olympics.
Kip is going after 2-mile WR on Feb. 21:

WMA doesn’t contest this event, but anything Lagat runs will likely be an age-group best.
A truly incredible athlete!!!
incredible! http://www.britishathletics.org.uk/results/20150221_Birmingham/timetable/index/pdf/AT-2MLS-M-f–1–.RS1.pdf
And the beat goes on: 8:17.05 for two miles. No surprise, given his 3K record. Hope he can keep up this pace till Beijing and beyond!
Lagat strike again!
