Lots of ways to view WMA Perth action — well after the meet ends

Perth organizers are trying to make a buck, of course. One way is through sale of athletes’ action photos. The image store is here. But give the folks Down Under credit for taking advantage of technology more than any other world masters meet — livestreaming the entire meet and archiving the footage for free access. They give these instructions: “Your friends and families can watch Perth 2016 live or as a reply all over the world thanks to the live stream at the WA Athletics accutane online Stadium. Here’s how to re-watch the live stream: 1. Use [this] link. 2. Click on the link that says ‘Perth 2016 – World Masters Athletics Championships’ next to the red ‘LIVE BUTTON. 3. All daily videos will appear in a menu on the right.” You also can view short video highlights, mainly Aussie-centric, at the meet’s YouTube channel here. Nice job, ladies and gents. And the end of Bill Collins’ 200 is deep into this clip:

Congrats to Irene Obera and W80 teammates on another WR — in the 4×4, breaking old record by nearly 13 seconds:

A plethora of photos arranged by competition day. Looking for photos of one’s self by bib number helps somewhat. However trying to find such photos as all who were in a race by age group requires spending a great deal of time scrolling through multiple events held on the same day. There appears to be no organizing principle as to how they show up. I will look again once I am home and can use a computer and not an iPad.
No photos that I could find of the relays. OTOH first time in my memory to see photographers at the XC for the older competitors.
I would love to know how theAthletes dinner went. It was very expensive and I refused to pay 90$ Australian when past experience at these dinners has been mixed. The one in 2015 was at an inconvenient location, had little food or drink for the athletes, few places to sit and I left early to go get a real meal.
For the money a fabulous meal could be had in a fine restaurant in Perth. The athletes pay enough for the meet without being asked to subsidize the dinner of WMA officers who most likely were given free food and drink.
