Masters track stars with their clothes on at Indy gala!
We’re so used to seeing our fellow athletes in their skivvies that we don’t appreciate how suave and debonair they look dressed up. Phil Raschker graciously sent some photos she and others took at the Jesse Owens/National Track and Field Hall of Fame induction ceremony at last week’s USATF annual meeting in Indianapolis. Guess they’re starting a new event — Best Dressed Masters Athlete.

Thank you for sharing the pictures Phil. You all look terrific.
Concerning the rules committee over-rulig the Masters Committee. It has been made very clear to me by Bill Roe in the past that the rules committee should not be able to over-rule a recommendation of the Masters Committee unless it is direct conflict with some basic tenant of the sport.
I believe that the rules committee has the burden of explaining where this may be the case.
I wonder how hard Grame Shirley fought for the wishes of the Masters Committee. Vitones shoud recuse himself as a professional meet organizer.
I wonder how they would deal with us if we were a subsidiary of the National Senior Games, which is where I would have led the organization if I had the time and energy.
This is fun being able to say how I feel.
Believe it or not, Thanks Ken.
