Results from Canadian masters nationals are posted
The folks Up Over had their three-day nationals over the weekend, and complete results are posted. Haven’t had time to inspect them closely. If you were in Regina, Saskatchewan, for the meet, let us know how things went! See anything amazing, funny, pathetic? Just post a comment below. I spoze a number of these good folks will mosey on down to Spokane for USA masters nationals.
Results from Canadian masters nationals stagger in
The eastern town of Dieppe, New Brunswick, hosted the Canadian masters nationals this past weekend, and I’ve copy-pasted results (below) from the Canadian Masters Athletics site. Ed Whitlock’s (listed as Witlock) amazing M75 distance records are here as well as great marks by the reliable W50 sprinter Karla Del Grande. But in keeping with a depolrable trend of bad officiating at major meets, the results report: “The 4x400m relay was not started on the official 3-turn stagger lines and therefore can not be considered for a record.”

What are the dates and location of the 2007 Canadian National Masters Track and Field Championship? If this info is not available at this time, when will it be announced?

Kudos to Susanne Lauridsen and B.J. Freeman for their outstanding performances. I had the pleasure of meeting those two ladies during the Indoor Nationals in Boston this past March. They were gracious representatives of their country.

After a quick review of the throws results all I can say is that those who mosey on down to Spokane had better bring their “A game”.
Note Olga Kotelko jumping 0.81m. The oldest women in high jump ever! She is nearing 90 years.
