Synchronized high jump could have legs, but masters would pass

Masters sprinter Jimson Lee has a blog that never ceases to amaze. This week he documented six bizarre track events. My favorite is “parallel high jumping,” our version of synchro diving. But it’s nice that track’s synchro is objective — based on height cleared rather than subjective style points. In any case, consider this video uploaded in 2009. How cool is this? (But the pool of geezers willing to do this seems kind of small.)

Looks like fun to me! I would try it :-). Give me the inside track. What would even be more bizarre would be a combo straddle-flop simultaneous tandem. I’d need a right-footed straddler to work with to avoid collision…..Milan, how about it?

I am thinking about it :-); little bit more tricky than two flop jumpers…

I’m thinking about doing a synchronized 100 meter dash with 7 other people where we run side by side in various lanes. After that, the synchronized hurdle race.

A synchronized 100 would be easy. Doing the hurdles would be doable but not easy. A synchronized HJ is pretty difficult. I have had my jumpers try to a synchronized HJ to help them learn focus and for fun and even for the elite jumpers, it takes some practice to get it down.
