Team USA entries posted for WMA world indoor meet
USATF has posted an event-by-event list (link fixed 2/01/06) of the 90-plus American entrants in the Linz world masters indoor championships. The list comes in a second flavor — with athletes listed alphabetically. Looks as if Bill Collins is entered in but one individual event: the 60-meter dash. Maybe he’ll run some M55 relays.
It’ll probably be his debut in the M55 age group. Just don’t jump the gun, Bill!
And Olympian Jim Barrineau is down for the M50 high jump — also his international debut in the new age group. He jumped 1.85 — a little over 6 feet — about a year ago.
The Austria meet starts March 15.
Thanks to M35 pole vaulter Dan Holton (4.60 at Reno) for giving me the heads up.

I see from the list there is a hammer throw, discus throw, and javelin throw. Indoors?
Also Ken, I guess you must have seen a very early or incomplete version of the athletes list of entries when you posted this blog entry because Bill Collins is also in the 200 and 400m.
Good job with your scooping the Gail Devers motherhood story! And continued great effort on your part for master’s track and field!
