AMA meet results are rolling in — but who can read Japanese?
So I found this Facebook page focused on the Asian Masters Athletics Championships. I see a clip of a Japanese paper showing a bunch of masters tracksters and probably meet results. But I skipped Japanese as a Second Language. Sorry. In any case, the medals are heavy duty. (I just can’t wait for the 116-year-old sprinter’s times!)

I enjoy your web page. I do read Japanese if you need any help with reading reports from the Asian Masters Games.
By the way, the 116 year old sprinter decided not to attend. What a shame!
On the WMA website, Prez Stan Perkins writes about AMA meet (but still no results link?):
The Asian Regional Masters Athletics Championships are being contested in the northern Japanese city of Kitakami in the Iwate Prefecture. This Prefecture was severely impacted by the catastrophic Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011.
The region is still recovering and the hosting of this championship is seen as a major significant step forward for the athletes and communities involved.
The competition that commenced on 19 September has attracted more than 2,900 entries from over 18 affiliates within the Region, whilst athletes from a further 5 countries outside of Asia are also competing for the first time. This is the first occasion that Asia has opened its championship to athletes from outside of the Region and it is seen as a significant step forward by the Region.
On 20 September the official opening of the championships took place at the City Plaza Hotel where dignatories from the Japanese and local government, the City Mayor and other public officials, the Japan Athletics Federation, the IAAF, World Masters Athletics and the Regional affiliates were treated to an outstanding entertainment program. A dinner and social program was also provided.
Apart from some rain of the first competition day there has been sunshine and excellent conditions for track and field competition.

Much more competitive meet than our regional. Japan really knows how to turn out the home crowd, too.
