At the 2008 Maryland Senior Olympics, he won 8 gold medals in the 85-89 category. My friend Dr. Dan Morhaim (Md. State House of Delegates) and Bobby Zirkin (Md. State Senator) both arranged for Rocky to receive a Lifetime achievement award from the Maryland Legislature this past Monday.

Rocky also played varsity football and Temle University in 1947. The Maryland Speaker of the House played there in the 1960s, so they really hit it off.

Rocky has been a real inspiration to me over the years. He is not only an excellent athlete but truly lives to help other people. I would suggest that many states legilatures around the country would welcome honoring masters ahtletes if we bring these people to their attention.
