USATF Hawaii masters nationals videos online

Forget Gerry Lindgren. Here’s the REALLY cool stuff — dozens of videos of masters tracksters (and some fieldsters) in action at the USATF masters nationals in Hawaii. (Plus an oldie from Eugene 2003.) Forgive the herky-jerky quality. I hope to upload better-quality video when I master some new software. The ones online now will be joined by a couple dozen more from Hawaii in coming days.

I’m especially proud of the following mini movies:
W45 phenom Neni Lewis throwing the hammer (and showing pain from injured Achilles).
Neni Lewis describing her injuries in the first of three interview segments.
M50 hurdler Mike Pannell collapsing near finish of the 400 hurdles — and then crossing the finish line.
Rita Hanscom coming from behind to nip a muscular Jackie Board in the W50 200 finals.
Nadine O’Connor’s winning clearance in the W60 vault and three misses (one oh-so close) at a new world record.
I also have video of 80-year-old Johnnye Valien of Los Angeles clearing world record after world record in the vault. That’s still on my to-do list.
Stay tuned.

Link for Rita Hanscom’s race in this article erroneously points to Pannell’s race.
